EARTH PIGMENT WORKSHOPS

Why Use Earth Pigments for Painting & Drawing?

Mixing my own paints & pastels means I can know what goes into them. Natural, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic pigments that are free of solvents, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, additives, petroleum-based dyes & nano particles – free of chemicals we don't actually need. Crafted from the highest quality pigments from Italy, France & the US, the organic ingredients are hand crafted in small batches, ethically sourced and are archival quality with a Gold Green Certification.

By blending earth pigments with either a non-toxic plant based medium, or a seed oil medium I can create my own natural paints & pastels. Sealing them with a final layer of non toxic matt varnish for extra UV protection. Earth pigments will last thousands of years in a glass jar and never fade or degrade. Without the fillers and additives, nothing affects the purity and longevity of these amazing paints.

In-Person Workshops – How to Make Archival Paints & Pastels with Earth Pigments.

The workshops are a relaxed environment to experiment, have fun & play. By using your hands you engage your senses and start to feel and trust your intuition – which is ultimately your best guide. Creating with nature in partnership develops a special relationship with it and it changes the way you work. Learn how to handle and mix water based paints and pastels with earth pigments using plant based binders, experiment with colour to see how they behave when blended, noticing the different properties. All pigments are GREEN eco-rated and are archival quality. To see further details please see the link below for each workshop. No experience required.
